Hi, I’m Susanne, I’m so happy you’re here! I’m a holistic health coach, meditation & yoga teacher, reiki master and a firm believer that health and happiness are inextricably linked to one another. When I was about 13 years old, my mum brought home a book about the medicinal powers of fruits and veggies and I’ve been hooked ever since. I knew most parts of the book by heart and tried to cure every cold with oranges, apples, herbs and leafy greens. Today, a couple of years and laugh lines later, I couldn’t be more convinced of the essence of that little worn out book. It’s exactly what many wisdom traditions such as Ayurveda have been teaching for a very long time: what we consume – not only with our forks and knives, but also emotionally and mentally – either heals or harms us.
Health and Happiness
In his Book of Joy the Dalai Lama says “The ultimate source of happiness is simply a healthy body and a warm heart”. I love this wonderful quote. It contains all the wisdom we need to know for a fulfilled life. But how exactly do we get there? How can we make lasting changes to our diet? What can we do to get rid of our fatigue? Is there an easier way to incorporate exercise into our daily routine? How can we reduce stress in our everyday life? And what’s a good strategy to stop judging ourselves and others?
What’s the secret?
Have you tried to change your diet, lifestyle choices and thought patterns but after a couple of successful weeks you fell off the wagon because it just wasn’t sustainable? Yes? Me too. I’ve been there, believe me, it’s frustrating beyond words. But the good news is, it doesn’t have to be this way and the secret behind success and long-lasting lifestyle changes is almost ridiculously simple: there is no one-size-fits all approach, no perfect diet that works for everybody in all times, all seasons, all places and all situations. What may work perfectly for one person, may have completely different effects for another. Because of the often times highly contradictory information in the health and wellness sector, it’s easy to get dogmatically positioned and to think that there is only one right way of eating. But fortunately, this is not the case, although it may feel like finding the famous needle in the haystack on many occasions.

And that’s exactly where I can give you a hand. I’m here to support you on your journey towards health and wellbeing. In this context, I think it’s also important to mention that although I’m completely and entirely convinced of the concept of life-style medicine, I’m not opposed to Western medicine. I don’t believe that we live in an either-or world. We want to make sure to use the best of both worlds. The best of what modern medicine has to offer and the best that we can offer ourselves through conscious lifestyle choices.
Through my own journey I know what it feels like to be at the beginning of this path. Sometimes it feels like you found the damn needle just to realize that it has been lost again. With my background in nutrition, meditation, yoga, reiki and mindfulness it is my sincere wish to help you find your very own way.
A healthy lifestyle is not a quick fix and there’s most definitely no miracle cure for our ailments. Making conscious life-style choices is a lifelong and dynamic journey that’s about finding health and happiness at the same time. It’s about falling in love with your new routines that make you feel amazing and light you up from the inside out. Most certainly it’s not about never eating pizza and chocolate again. It’s rather about finding balance and giving your body a true chance to intuitively crave the foods that make you skin glow, your eyes sparkle and most importantly, that make you feel amazing in your own body.
