
Reiki
Reiki is a beautiful Japanese healing technique that helps you relax and thus reduces stress and anxiety. I tend to find the term "healing technique" a bit misleading because to some people it implies that it's the practitioner who is responsible for the healing effect. In my personal opinion, however, this is not the case. No matter which healing modality you chose, it will always, always and always be your own beautiful body who does the healing. A technique such as reiki and a good practitioner can, however, be extremely helpful to support you on your journey. During a reiki session your parasympathetic system is activated and you will experience a deep level of rest and relaxation. And this exactly where your own magic is then supposed to happen.
Reiki is beginning to gain acceptance in hospitals around the world as it proves to be a meaningful and cost-effective way to improve patient care as it allows patients to heal faster with less pain. It is a wonderful complementary technique that can be safely used by people of all ages in any kind of situation.
Before I started my reiki journey I was quite sceptic to be honest. After all it sounded a bit too woo woo for my taste but I let my curiosity lead the way. And thank Goodness I did because it has enriched my life in ways I didn't think possible. So here I am, a science loving-mind trusting my intuition and the benefits I'm observing through my experience in the field of energy healing techniques.

Distant Reiki Session
Reiki can be done in person and works equally well when given during a distant reiki session. Energetically it doesn't make a difference to me whether you sit right in front of me or in the comfort of your own home. All you have to do is to lie down, relax and make yourself comfortable. You may experience sensations like warmth, tingling or pulsing during this time.
